The Tokyo Swinger scene has been established for decades but has always been difficult for newcomers to Tokyo, non-Japanese speakers and especially for those visiting Japan on short visits or as tourists.
In the early 2000’s there was regular swinger parties, most famously the Venus parties that attracted groups of single Japanese women keen to meet handsome westerners living in Tokyo.
In Tokyo and throughout Japan you might be able to find discreet swinger clubs for couples, in Japan they are often referred to happening bars (ハプニングバー) or couple kissa (カップル喫茶). If you are able to find one, we recommend contacting them prior to visiting to find out the rules and admittance policies they have.
